Hello,

after my first project, restoration of an Electra RS, I wanted a bike with a bigger frame, and at that time Kahaki presented their Baron frame :

so the project started and I got the components from all over Europe and the States

had the chainwheel pinstriped

Took a while to get my hands on these tires, as they were unavailable for a while

I really wanted to have the rims. frame and handlebar painted in Ipanema Brown, a color from Audi, and all the rest in black, no chrome parts.

the paintjob was done by friends of mine

The big rims and tires fitted very tight in the frame, leaving only 2-3 mm on each side, and took a while to get it lined out without touching the frame

and another problem was that the chain touched the rim as well, so I had to offset my chainwheel

I put it as much offset as possible without having the chain hit the crank

a mechanical discbrake on the front and a headlight from a motorcycle which I converted to led

in total I took me 9 months to complete the project, but I'm very happy with my bike

I hope you liked the story, and greetings from Antwerp, Belgium

Great idea bolting the one sprocket to the other sprocket to get the chain to line up. I may use that rig one day. The frame and all components you used look great.
