I have been waiting for this thing for what seems like forever. I paid for it like 6 months ago... But I think it was worth the wait. She is number #026.... There are less than 1000 being built..... Anyway I really like her. Let me know what you think...

for us here this bike is quite an honor. i seriously think the designers of felt saw what we were building and did this bike. i mean in the cataloug it straight up says "rat rod" style. lol and because they are limmited number thats cool too. we had one for about 2 months i think it was number 80 or so. i would personally slam the seat or put a narrow brooks on it and lower and cut the fork the gap between the tire and fork bothers me for some reason. oh yea and check with the dealler you got yours from they had a factory defect with the rear gears.

That's an awesome bike...wondered who would be the first on the forum to get one.

How do you like that rear dérailleur....it's supposed to be a nifty one right?

Yeah... Thats one reason it took so long to get. its actually been at the bike shop for the last several months waiting for the a chain ring recall part.. and then a new rear wheel (had some problem with being too tight) The reflectors will come off of course but Im not real sure about any other mods... I kind of hope to just hang this thing on my wall and ride it a couple times a year. I know that's kind of sacrilegious but I have plenty of "riders"... Its kind of a shame though. Makes me want to build a multi speed klunker. This thing really goes AND really stops... Which is kind of strange and exciting after riding 70 year old single gear coaster bikes. (more bad talk, I know) To tell you the truth this is the first bike I ever bought that my first thought wasn't... "I can bend this and this and that and cut this.. Paint this red..." And yes I think your right. I think this bike owes its very existence to Rat Rod Bikes

my boss actually talked personally with jim felt (he lives around these parts. and he asked him if the 68 was styled after bikes from ratrod bikes and he said "no comment."

This is a really old post, but Its worth mentioning that Jason Cruz was a big part of designing this bike.
Only someone with hot rod experience could have designed this bike, not the paper pushers (No offense to office employees  ).

Here is more info about this guy: http://jason-cruz.com/
He was working for Hot wheels when he helped design this bike. This bike was a success compared to the first generation hot wheels.

Glad you brought it back up , seeing it's in the For Sale forum Now

Regards.....Rafael
