So my step daughters fiance' calls me about 930 last night, a mutual friend and very very generous owner of a LBS says he has some bikes for me,so come now....

and here you have the Anti Christ Schwinn Breeze, Serial #BB16666, born February 1966, just in time to celebrate her 43rd birthday. It's my first Schwinn. Just did a "quickie clean up" tonight. Got rid of the cheapie headlight...the guts were shot from the 20 something year old batteries leaking, and the swivel for front half of the lamp door is gone on one side and broken on the other (found out why it was electrical taped...). Speedo works, 690 miles, has a Bendix Red Band coaster, Schwinn grips, "AS" seat clamp bolt. Need to replace the rear tire.....its the wrong size and not for the S5-S6 style wheels, front is a Schwinn original.

Also gave me an early 70's Huffy touring bike with a S/A 3 speed hub.....but this one really made my day!

Sorry Hugo, I violated the code......AGAIN.

That should clean up nicely.

Those have been bringing some really good money on Ebay lately.

It wasn't unusual to see them sell for $300 on Ebay last summer.

That's in pretty good shape. Nice color.

...and the serial number will surely increase its value! I'd keep it just for that funny coincidence. Very nice bike.

I'm surprised it has an AS bolt clamp, being a 66, but then again, they were probably digging deep in the bins, using up old stock. ~Adam

Re: MY "NEW" SCHWINN-UPDATED PICS 02/24

Broke out the brass wool & WD-40, got to work on the wheels and installed the correct size tires, added a nicer set of pedals. Do you like the gumwalls? They seem to "fill" the fenders better, visually....or am I psycho?

I'm going to remove the speedo...just doesn't fit this bike IMHO...forgive my exuburance on a "plain jane" Breeze....this is my first Schwinn...and it rides soooo nice.

wow...I hope my garage doesn't do that! Hope everyone was safe.
