I, for one, am not on myspace, nor will I ever be.

Bad code, siezure inducing gif files, rampant datamining, a total lack of security, the list goes on and on. The place is a considered a huge joke among the rest of the internet. It ranks right up there with AOL, Neopets, Furries, and Viagra Spam in the list of internet FAIL.

The average time to hack a myspace account is less than 5 minutes. Seriously! You should see some of the boards devoted to people that get their LOLZ out of it. There is an entire scene devoted to people breaking into myspace accounts and posting the pics they steal. And when they hit upon enough of your personal info watch out, crazy things can and will happen.

If myspace is your thing have at it, more power to ya. But there's no way I'd be on it.

The people putting too much personal info ANYPLACE on the internet run risks of people stealing said info...plus, if someone takes a photo, so be it.

Given enough time, someone could break into your home computer (most firewalls a a bigger joke than MySpace!) and get MUCH more personal information...

...and the government can track us through our money...the moon landing was staged and actually filmed in a desert...the US is hiding a UFO that crashed at Roswell...

I did not mean for you to remove your original stuff in the post. I was just stating why I do not use myspace. Seriously, I did not mean for you to pull it or anything personal at all.

As for the moon landing... it happened. The "evidence" saying we didn't is so weak it's sad. (And yes, I have studied such for years.)
Tracking through money... totally possible as financial records, transfers, and credit cards are tracked and monitored electronically. (Now that RFID is here to stay it will only get worse.)
The Roswell Incident... who knows? But one look into the night sky and all the stars up there, as well as the knowlege that there are endless possible dimensions and planes of existence, one cannot doubt the possibility of there being more than just us.

What they have to do with my response to the original post.... /me shrugs.

Anyway, I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers or cause a problem. If it's your thing and you enjoy it, have fun. Peace?

i have been online since 94 with my IBM PS/2 and a 9600 baud modem and never been "hacked" lol and I have been on myspace for a very long time it allows me to network with tattoo artists around the world and I started another endevour there its http://www.myspace.com/iowalivemusic I promote live music in Iowa its been a wonderful experience We go see atleast 2 live bands a week I have met tons of wonderful people and have inside access to so major shows when a year ago I was just the average fan. none of my personal info is on myspace and I change my password every couple months so its been a pretty cool experience for me meeting some of the top music acts in the country and tons of the best local talent in the area. btw if you havent seen a live show lately get off yer butt and go see one be it a local band or a major show aint nothing like live music :)

as Forrest Gump said " That's all I have to say about that"

Ahhh the good old days before the internet or at least before it was used by the public. I used to be SysOp of a BBS and ran what I think was the first GUI BBS software PowerBBS. RPGs like LORD and others I can't recall now (I'm trying to work as many acronyms in as I can).
Had 4 phone lines in the house. Wish I could recall more about that period.
AOL may be a joke now but played a big part in our online evolution and deserves a place in the history books. Remember Compuserve and Prodigy?

Hooch... I enjoy local live music but don't see it nearly as often as I should. One thing nice about our Pub Pedals is some of the bars we frequent may have a band or at least "open mike" night.
