Started making progress on the forks today. Still unsure of how I want to do the springs... schwinn springer style or more of a girder style or something else.

Would a bow the opposite direction on the bottom keep the frame from bending? Something like an inverted truss bridge...

Some sort of truss work would probably help.

I think with the seat moved back like in this paint mock up and soft springs on the girder fork it should be fine.

I am kind-of going for a 70's digger style motorcycle.

Deorman, I wasn't too sure about the fork idea in the beginning either. I think it will work out okay with some more modifications.

I finally was able to do a real mock up and found some things I need to resolve. I don't have a whole lot of free time so it may take me a while yet just to get the forks working right.

Here is an actual mock up under it's own weight.
