WHOAAAAAAAAA!!!
I would half to name that car
BAD *DONKEY*!!!!!!!!!

What does the car look like in standard configuration?

My educated guess is that it started its life as a 1934 English Ford Y Popular and now it's a hot rod powerd by a 2.5 litre Daimler hemi.

American Bantam.

Close. Actually American Austin. American Bantam was after 1938 and the "aero" nose. The names actually get interchanged a lot. Go ahead and post another car.

If front engined, they are Chevy powered (Straight Six that is). But other similar models were available with rear mounted Beetle engines.

Which reminds me...

There was only one car ever with a front mounted air-cooled VW boxer - and front wheel drive. Name it.
