Neat rear wheel idea.

I have a new model single speed cruising bike and year one gear and huge tires blows, so I looked around my shed for parts, but wanted to keep matching rims, but wanted more then one gear. Tada I have a bunch of archer 3 speed hubs. me not having a clue if this would even work, I mixed pieces up and got this!
BEHOLD! lol a 3 speed mountain bike wheel, who knows of the possibilitys.

Downside of what I did? my bike has no brakes nor mounts for brakes. lol

If ya can lace a wheel, you should have no trouble "fabbing" a brake mount! :wink:

The funny thing is i've never laced a wheel, I guessed lol and as for the mount, the fender has a hole on a support, but theres only one hole, so I came up with an idea, drill that sucker right through lol. i;m sure i'd have a pair of brakes that will work.

FYI, they DO make 3-speed hubs with coaster brakes.

I know they do, I had one, but when your useing parts you have and don't have the right stuff, make it work lol

Brakes who needs them. I have a s/s cruiser that is a free wheel I ride it every where with no brakes.
