What's this bike worth and does it appear to be complete? I'm looking to buy it, so just want to make sure.

Thanks.

That is a 1950's Murray made JC Higgins colorflow, the girl's version. That bicycle looks very complete- the only thing missing it looks like is one of the handlebar grips. It is very tough to say what these are worth, the prices vary quite a bit- I'd say anything under $300 is fair.Anything less than that and you could probably get your money back no problem if you ever wanted to sell it later.

I personally wouldnt give more than $50 at the very most. But thats all its worth to me. There is no value set on bikes. Anything you buy has to be worth it to you. If you think they want to much, its not worth it. If you like it and have to own it, then its worth whatever you will pay. Some people wouldnt take that bike for free. Some would pay an outrageous amount of money. it is a cool girls bike though.

Anything under $300 is a steal. It's got two really good things going for it. One is the original Head light that I've seen go for $100 in good shape and two is the Super hard to find Rear rack. I you can find one of those with the Reflectors in good shape They bring $200 also if it's got the Original Allstate whitewall tires those will go for $100 Probably another $150 to $200 in parts for the rest of the bike.

That bike has a lot of potential, should be kept together instead of parting out ,if you part it out ,it looses its soul and the piece of history it represents. Not worth the couple of bucks you make on the parts.Restore it !either stock or resto mod.

Yes deffinitly keep it together. I was just breaking it down what everything is worth. Deffinitly worth way more than $300

There is a 1956 JC Higgins, that is very similar and very nice, out on Craigslist Wichita. Just buy it and ride it. Price $425.

The plan is to "refresh" the mechanicals and to ride it. In the ad, the seller acts likes he doesn't know anything about the bike and asks for offers. I offered $150 just to see where that gets me. I then called him the following day and he seemed more knowledgeable about and was asking me if I knew any more about it. Sounds like he just wants to keep it and know what it's worth.

I've sold all those parts before....my suggestion is to buy it for $300 and find a guys frame and tank....swap all of the parts and have an amazing Higgins. The headlight, fenders and rear reflector are worth about that price alone. Good luck!
