The threaded spindle of the pedal is 1/2 inch, so that is called a 1/2 inch pedal. It has rubber blocks, so 1/2 inch (rubber) block pedal. The holes on each side sometimes had decorative imitation (red) jewels, so 1/2 inch jeweled rubber block pedal. Wald was the manufacturer of the pedals, as designed for new bicycles such as Murray in Ohio. These are commonly referred to as Wald 'bow' pedals. They were popular on youth bikes made in the '60s and can be valuable to restorers of those bikes, depending on the color and condition. Clamdigger is right--1/2" shank that doesn't fit a lot of modern cranks.
