I need an indicator spindle and a cable for the trigger shifter. It's like a Sturmey Archer but a slimmer spindle. The chain looks the same. I hear a SRAM 3x7 part will work. I haven't found a retailer yet who is selling them though I did find a German site. Kinda hard to read German though there were lots of pictures to help me along, ha.

I don't have what you need but for help with the German site, try Google Language tools.
It's over on the right side when you call up google. Paste in the text from their site and it
usually does a pretty good job translating.

Re: Need Sachs parts

I looked for one of those too and found one on ebay.. Haven't seen another since. I heard the same about the 3x7 chain. The other problem lies in the chain to cable connection. The threading isn't the same. I cut the Sachs one off and wired a Sturmey to the indicator chain portion.

Re: Need Sachs parts

I am in contact with a German fellow right now. He seems to have the parts. However if it is grossly expensive I will have to make other arrangements. I did look down the axle and where the spindle goes in; there is a tapered hole for the spindle. The Sturmey spindle will slide down the hole but it stops at the taper. I am thinking of drilling through the taper and perhaps using the Sturmey spindle. I found that a spoke thread will screw into the Sachs quite well and is secure. The spoke fits through the taper as a point of reference to how small the hole is. I just have to compare the two threads so I don't inadvertently ruin the hub.

Re: Need Sachs parts

Found parts stateside I think. http://www.bikefriday.com. In Oregon. They have the indicator chain for sure and they are also sending a connector clip which substitutes for the OEM anchorage if that is what it was called. The tech says the system uses a standard derailleur cable so I am hopeful I can get this up and running for not alot more money. Will post pics once parts arrive.

They arrived today. Fast shipping! The parts are #7702, 3x7 indicator chain and #6904, 3x7 indicator chain clip.

The indicator does not have the same hub-end threads as the Sturmey Archer. It is also more slim and there are more chain links than the Sturmey Archer. The clip is plastic and has a friction-type install feature. You press down on a small metal tab and slide the large threaded end into it. Then to remove the chain, you press the tab again and it can slide out. It works kind of like a mousetrap. The clip is a universal cable anchorage and is embossed with the Sachs name. The cable end uses a set screw to hold the end of the cable. Bike Friday said the shifters use standard derailleur cables. They might take some fidding but I think they are right. Here are pics:
