Those numbers don't fit the pattern. Checking my book, they started using the plate in 1946, and 1941 and older frames had the numbers stamped very deep. So possibly a 1942, or early postwar. Or, a fluke that doesn't fit any pattern. According to the list, the serials 112911- through 118105 are unaccounted for, and between 42 and 46. Sorry I didn't spot this post sooner! Also, Classic Bicycle News has a Monark book in the works, I know I'm waiting for it!! -Adam

I don't know for sure. Could be a code for a certain store, There were a few Monark built Western Flyers, could be that. Or, it could stand for "Way Confusing", and it was built on April Fools Day, just to mess with us now!!! :lol: :shock: :mrgreen: -Adam
