Need Some Help, Motor ID
I'll be the first to admit, I don't know much about these "over the front wheel" motor setups! I recently made a deal to buy a barn full of stuff. Picking up a bunch of goodies, and this is in the load. Looks early 60s to me, any info would be apprieciated. Maker, size, Hp, and value. Motor has not been run in years, but is NOT froze up. Your the man! Fun thing is, there was another motor with all this stuff, and it was the suitcase style, that is in the other part of this page. Thanks my friend.

i rebuilt one of these last year. it's made by tanaka. there is a guy on the internet who is the guru of these things, he helped me get mine up and going.

That style of Sears logo (Helvetica italic, all caps) was used beginning in 1984 and lasted until 2004. Perhaps that will help you narrow down the age.
