need tips on setting up paint rig

Ive got a compressor and i have done some paint on cars but it was kinda on the fly and many years ago.
Would like to know if i need and external regulator?
Do i use a detail gun for bikes?
What pressure use?
any advice would be appreciated!

Heres my compressor with its regulator.I guess it would dial down accurately enough???

you want a constant 90 psi line pressure use a regulator on gun do some tests before spraying you should be around18-25 psi at gun yes a detail gun will work just fine just remember to let the water out the tank before painting you will be fine good luck
