I am not blasting anyone in particular, but I am getting kinda tired of getting outbid by the same people on items I bid on on ebay. Just trying to finish up the RRBBO bike and damn if I can't get the parts I want to finish it off. Maybe I am just being anal about it but I hate having to settle for parts that just aren't right for the vision I have. Even if I won what I needed, the parts wouldn't be here in time. I guess i will finish the bike when I get what I need. Unfortunately, my feeling dictates that I am not gonna share a pic of a bike I am not happy with. Sorry to be like this, but it is a matter of ride for me. Keep building!

I cant believe there havent been hardly any ladies springers on ebay
sorry its been a fight I know what ya mean tho sometimes ebay drives me nuts too.... cant find the one piece which 6 months ago you had and sold because you thought "oh I will never need that"

i feel ya, yeshoney. I've missed out on a bunch of stuff on ebay, probably because i'm not attached to my computer 24/7. it sucks, but as i've learned, that's just the way it goes. there is always someone with either more money, or more time on their hands to watch those auctions. is it just me or has the ebay competition gotten worse since the beginning of the rrbbo? We all need a better source of old parts, besides ebay. we should start something, like a perpetual, international parts swap meet via internet.

I agree. I hate it.

Not so much because of being outbid, but it just ruins the fun. Sometimes it's unavoidable. I just won my first bike parts I have ever purchased on it after 7 years of membership about a week ago. People around this town are either stingy or there are no bike parts left that haven't been shipped off via....EBAY. :x

I try to avoid it like the plague and I haven't sold any bike parts yet. It's just not right. Local finds are so much more fun. That stupid website has ruined the art of junk hunting.

If I ran a bike shop, I would do the same! :D

Talking more about the ebay hoarders that scour everywhere sucking up anything worth anything and re-selling it for profit.

auction site

Heres a partial alternitive to e-slave, but its just in 4 areas NY, ORLNADO FL, SEATTLE WA. and LOS ANGELES it's PROPERTYROOM.COM it's a police auction site and iff time is running out and U are in a bidding war ,they add time soo it's not quick fingers magoo  that always wins!....and they have "lots" ei stack of 7, 8, up to 10 bike lots. Most are newer bikes but iff U look close in the bigger lots there is a fewe old gems inside . Most are pick-up only... so for like 60$ for 9 bikes or so    :D :D
