I picked up this (unknown) Schwinn cruiser today and set about making it dirty looking, I was gonna call it Pigpen (maybe).
My Murray cruiser, while attractive, is just too much garbage to imagine beating on too hard. I really wanted a Schwinn.
It’s got a three speed Shimano 3CC coaster brake hub. Currently it shifts great but the brakes seem…less than optimal. I need to service the hub and see if that helps.
Anyhow, pretty stoked! Will ride gravel with it.

Crimped Stays don't last when 200lb adults stand on the pedals, which is why I also prefer Schwinns. The crimped stay bikes are alright for just cruising though.

Dig the Coppertone paint and the fact that you found a Schwinn cruiser with a straight fork.

Yeah I gotta say I was shocked when I got into the bb shell and discovered that was how the Murray was built. You can’t even use one of those four bolt bb conversion kits because the crimped tube ends get in the way.
