looks like a roadmaster to me too, middleweight maybe, as far as value goes, i dont think its that uncommon to be worth any more than any other cantilever bike in the same condition.

Looks like an early-mid 60s AMF Roadmaster, could have been badged as a Western Flyer, Shelby, or a few other names. Has a front rim from a lightweight touring bike. Bike is worth maybe $30 on a good day.

$30 ??? aww, man ...i thought i had a fantastic find...well its a cool bike none the less. may be fun to fix up with the boy..thanks guys..ill check on the hub and rims when i make it home. thanks!

It has a Sturmey Archer twist grip shifter and matching grip which may be worth as much as the whole bike. If the hub is a Sturmey Archer 3-speed also, you have a nice find for $30 just in those parts. Then you can buy a cool bike to put those into.

i have a 59-61 amf roadmaster myself and i love the way they ride. $30 may be a bit on the lowside but maybe in that condition. if your lookin to flip the bike for a profit, then this may not be the best candidate, but if your lookin for something that your gonna dig, then go for it. looks to be in the same neglected condition i found mine in, but i ended up making it my summer 08' progect rebild and came out with a great bike once i was done that i love to ride. who can put a price on that?

Here is the one I put on the work stand yesterday before I saw your thread.
