I found this frame in a hog shed. I had some extra parts and two weeks later RACER

but those truss rods really need cut down and rebent to flow better....their throwing off whats a really nice looking build

I don't know if they need cutting or not, but I'd definitely agree they need reshaping.

NICE! I think it looks awesome- personally I'd modify the trusses to be straight, but it's super cool either way. That's a '38 Colson frame correct?

Cool! I just dragged two similar Hawthornes out of the woods. I'm still trying to get the seatpost out of one of them! I think the truss rods should be staright as well, although the curved is unique.

It is a skip tooth, just has the wrong crank on it there. ~Adam

Yes the frame and all parts were sand blasted. The unknown donor bike was a girls frame.The stearer tube was one half inch
too short.I used a piece of a tight fitting stem to strenghten and lenghten stearer tube. Now the trusses are too short also.
I made them one inch longer,yes i think i will reshape the rods.I also had a brass Flying Star head badge witch screwed
on fine and matched holes in frame.Does any one know who had the spoke style sproket? Thanks for input COSMIC FLYER
