Picked this Mongoose all terrain bicycle from craigslist today. I thought it was going to have both pro class wheels but unfortunately the rear was not matching. :( The good thing though the frame and all the components are there and the chrome is really nice.

Those are sweet bikes....too bad about the missing rear wheel.

I don't know why, but they do always seem to be really tall bikes. Here's the one I swiped a set of Pro Class wheels off of.

Threw some Sun wheels from the same era on there and sold the bike for $150 to a really tall guy.

I would have kept it....if I didn't need a ladder to get on it.

Seems like just about every chrome MTB that I have found from that era has been HUGE.

All I did was wash that one...it had been in someone's garage all that time.

I have one of those too, mines got all the parts on it, the seat was broken though and spokes where rusty, very nice bike though

Cool i just took mine out of the barn the other day for a clean up, looking at all the kos bikes lately made me wanna ride my ATB again. i bought it brand new in 1984 still rides real good. If i could get my photo bucket working i would post a pic :x. Nice score man.

That thing reminds me of the old moose goose. I have a chrome Magna mountain bike that is going to become a 26" BMX this summer.
