Found this site a long time ago, never made a screen tag until recently. I have a few bikes, nothing older than a 80's Schwinn I had as my first bike. I have several bikes but my current and favorite work in progress (let's be honest, it'll forever be a project) is a 2009 Schwinn Point Beach. They sold them in Schwinn dealers as Clairmont and a few other models, this one just had x-mart groupset on it. No worries, I like a canvas.
Started life as a wal-mart bike, turned crazy. Current config.. new parts coming within the next month and a half , will update as I go.

Here's how it started.
disassembled, wet-sanded, cut buff, polish and seal last year..
As it currently sits..
At night.
Currently have a few parts on order..
11-34 flat black Shimano Altus 8-speed rear cassette
8-speed Shimano Altus trigger shifter
Hayes CX Pro polished front disc brake kit
Venice motor bikes springer disc mount kit
Hayes CEX red cable set (Matches current, but needed front brake cable)
Currently have a set of wheels from another bike I put 7500 miles on when I was younger that is currently disassembled. just went through and polished away years of salt staining and corrosion.
New decals will be on order sometime this week from Sunrims USA being sent from Mequon, WI. As you can see, both wheels were clean.. but one on top is after rehab. 3-step compound that I'd use on a vehicle and cratex abrasive sticks to clean up the eyelets in the rim itself.
close-up of the half-restored hub and non restored, you can see the salt corrosion that took place over the years when I was younger not caring. Wheels will be built up with 14ga DTswiss spokes by January hopefully and this bike will be even more fun to ride. It's light, easy to ride and very good on it's feet.
Here's the other (ridable) bikes I currently have.
1995 Trek 830 - Garbage find. Hodge podge of many other parts that came from other bikes.
2003 Mongoose Rockadile AL - Bike the other disc wheels originally were on. Two sets of those bad boys.
2011 Kent Fixie - Cheap sub-200 to build single speed / fixed gear stripped and repainted in Ford Grabber Green.
2014 Mongoose Dolomite - budget fatty.. because why not.
I noticed there's a lot of car guys here too. Here's my turds.
Huge bike and car guy. I'm a fan of stuff that's obscure, different, stuff that sticks out. I think my cars and bikes reflect that. Have been searching for the "perfect" old school (60s or earlier) bike to add to my collection to resto-mod. I already know I want to do Mopar Plum Crazy on whatever it ends up being.
Thanks for looking.
