Hey all, very glad to have found this site!! I've been into this style of bike since I was old enough to take of the training wheels. My first was one of those Redline cruisers with the cheesy flame stickers and red wall tires... I was 10 or so when I got it, and its pretty much what got me interested in these things. When I was 12 or 13 I learned how to weld by chopping the fenders and makin a laid back seat post. I then put a little two stroke on it and rode that thing to school everyday til I got my license and got my Packard on the road and legal. Since then I've been more into cars, but I've always had a bike or two to mess with. I haven't even ridden once in the last year, but finding this forum kinda jump-started my motivation. Currently I have an old Columbia (pretty certain its late-30s, not 100%) that I've stretched 10" and am putting an 8hp Briggs water-pump motor in, and an oddball Schwinn frame that I'm making just a simple cruiser. No current pics of those projects unfortunately.. Lookin forward to sharing and learning here!!!!!!!
Here's I few pics of the Redline over the years..
