Hello all my name is Dan I’m here in the desert area of California I enjoy building and riding bicycles I have a couple a 30s strand bike and am building a 63 Schwinn non king size also a strand type that neighbor gave to me in a box I have a PK ripper and mountain bike also . Look forward to enjoying everyone’s builds and general bike talk .

Hello and welcome. I'm curious about what you mean when you say strand bike. Also wanna know about your mountain bike. Pictures are always fun!
Thanks for saying hi ! Should of said beach cruiser instead of strand but I’ve heard them called strandies also, mountain bike is a trek 6700 kinda old school I used to ride a lot and had a couple of nice custom built aluminum framed trek hard tails Will try to add some pics soon .

I've heard that too, that's why I was asking lol. The type I've heard it applied to was a special kind though, in the late 70s and early 80s, BMX companies were making 26 inch beach cruisers and they were pretty special. If you're holding one of those still in the box, congrats, that's freakin GOLD! Here's an example, an 82 Laguna Cruiser
