A couple hours last night and tonight and my friend Cody and I made a "rodeo bike" for the upcoming Christmas parade.

I am still in a sling so I directed Cody and he welded up the wheels, he's the better welder anyway.

Since I don't have the ability to cut and thread my own spokes or the skills to lace a hub offset into a wheel I just took a set of 16" wheels and had Cody weld them into a set of 20" hoops completely off to one side with a steel brace filling the gap on the other side.

Then we put the wheels on a 26" Murray USA Wanderer frame (appropriate name).

It's WILD! I couldn't ride it too fast with just one arm, but Cody got it going so fast it started hopping off the ground!

Don't worry, photos and video will come I was just excited to be building again and had to shout about it.

Cool. Anxious to see it. Sounds like mine. It too will come off the ground if going too fast. http://youtu.be/p7C3AC7VgiM
The basket is where I keep the candy in the parade.

Your bike was my inspiration since I wouldn't be able to lace the wheel I thought yours was a great alternative, but your wheels look factory compared to what we did.
