I finally got my new Bell 'Cruiser' pedals. The trick was getting the old ones off. I tried everything to get them loose but they kept winning.
I finally took it to a welder to apply heat, which did the trick. Here's a shot of the end result. 8)

I hate stuck pedals....glad you got them off.

BTW....ever since I knocked the background out of your Avatar I can't stop staring at it, ha ha.

Looks good. I had to use a heat gun on some pedals on the Super Maxy cranks on the Letour I picked up. The aluminum bonded to the steel and tore out about half the threads. Glad your went easier.

Ahh stuck pedals are my fav......Haha I hate when something soooooooo easy becomes a fulls day work......Amen on your pedal removing and she looks RAD.......Awesome ride......

Easy way to remember how to loosen pedals...

Turn the wrench towards the back of the bike on both sides to loosen.

Turn the wrench toward the front of the bike on both sides to tighten.

Very nice looking bike. Cool color scheme on it.

Thanks! When you PM'd me about it last week I got nervous. I thought you were gonna make me get rid of it!
I like the 'mod' you did to it too! Yeah, I like my skate stuff too!

Well Slacker, I went to my LBS to get a pedal wrench, brought it home only to find out I needed a 14mm, not the 15mm that I just bought. I say LBS but here in Maine local is relevant to the distance you need to drive, 45 minutes to an hr away. 'Up the road a piece' = 10 miles!

I kinda thought someone would notice the crappy pedals, but I needed to put aside a little pocket change....
