I hate that whenever I need a picture it's usually at the bottom of the list, and at over 1200 pictures it takes FOREVER to scroll down

+1! I have less than 500 on mine & it takes forever! They switched me from the old to the new a while back, I hated it & switched back. Now they have done it again & I can't find an option to change back to the old one! :x

The new photobucket is garbage....that's the one word to decsribe it :p

That my friend, is a very polite way to describe it! Even if it is free, I do expect it to work. After all they describe it as the new & improved Photobucket! It may be new, but there are no improvements that I can see! :x

Exactly! :p The old one was way easier to get to the image links and upload... :|

I liked the old one but it didn't seem to work right when they first changed. I've gotten used to the new one, for what it does for me for free, I'm not complaining. :|

Everyone I have talked to hates it & I have discussed this issue with a lot of people on this website and others as well. Part of my problem is I hate changes, once I get used to something, they change it to something "better" which is usually not!

If I was smart enough to set up a poll on this subject I would. Just out of curiosity!

Who loves it.

Who thinks it's ok.

Who hates it.

But unfortunately I'm not, I'm kind of a low-tech guy. That may be my whole problem!

I also hate change..you'd figure my young brain would adjust easily, but it doesn't

I think it's okay. I thought I would hate it, but it's not that bad.

I have two and one only has a few pictures on it. I decided to go to the new with that one. Looks
like it downloads the new picture to the bottom of your album, unless you click the little gear
and save it to your library. Its not that bad but I do like the old one better. People are saying because
its free you should like whatever they give you. Let them change CraigsList and see the griping.

The new interface is at least alot better than it was just a few weeks ago, they're actually listening and have one poor guy in support assigned full time to answer up in the support forum. You can easily shut off scrambling and bulk links are still available, there's a quick link in the support section on how. The interface was absolutely unusable from an iphone before Christmas, it's getting there but it's still better using the full site as the links are harder to get to as the mobile is more geared to send to twitter and FB. The full site was pretty much unusable as well but it's doable now. Even the old site was a bit wonky from the phone.

I can deal with learning a new interface, I just wish they wouldn't compress the files down so low that the image quality suffers.

Haven't had a compression problem like that yet, but they do now limit to 1024x768 link thru size so if you do your own resizing beforehand it will likely look better than if they use a lossy jpeg setting when resizing and saving. I always resize to just under that anyway something in the 984x740 range.

EDIT: Just did an experiment, I think that's definitely what's going on. Uploaded a 4MB Jpeg then uploaded my 986x740 version, the one PB shrunk to 1024x768 was noticeably fuzzy. I imagine it takes half the disk space as well.

I only upload to Photobucket for online viewing, that being said, I normally use Irfanview to resize before uploading, even if I used Photoshop to edit the pics. I set them to 800x600, sometimes even 640x480, since mostly those photos are only going to be viewed on a forum, if someone wants a higher quality version or bigger one I can send one to them. The smaller file size helps it upload much faster too.
