Hi guys and gals.

I have a Sturmey archer rear hub with 2 dished sprockets(different sizes) on the rear. I was originally going to make a chain tensioner and just manually flop the chain from sprocket to sprocket (which means having to stop) But I want to be able to do it on the fly with out having cables, just a stick or rod that I can rear behind and use.

Any one ever seen a set up like this? or have some great ideas they want to share?.

Cheers
Elliot

How about an old 10 spd derailer. The trick will be setting the limits so it doesn't over shift past the gears.

get a holeshot from an old bmx.

not a bad idea.
I'm hoping some one has tried this and come up with a simple way of using a handle or stick straight off the derailleur of sorts rather than routing a cable to the handle bars.
