Hi Frank welcome to the site. 
I just joined to get some help from bike people or collectors. any info, write-up or advertising on Nicol & co. Robert Nicol made and sold bikes from 1895-1898 from What I can tell. I am looking for his address in chicago in early 1900′s. I collect toy banks & safes. Nicol also made cast iron banks.
