well this bike has become a pimp my klunker lol I have to get an updated picture but basically I have knobbies on it and I have a front rack from a huffy rear rack I jerry rigged to fit. my next mission is to run a pair of dirtbike handlebars with a double stem if I can find one cheap enough these are the bars I am running on it.
Twenty or twenty-five years ago one of the mountain bike magazines I subscribed to had a "custom paint contest" and many of the winners were what you'd probably expect from the early '90's, like wild neon fades similar to what Klein was doing at their factory.
The one that stood out from the pack was what looked at first to be a boring, plain old glossy white frame -- and the owner had named IT "Roadkill."
It wasn't until you looked REALLY closely that the name made sense: the bottom of the down tube, the bottom of the bottom bracket, and the chainstays were splattered with a thick spray of glossy red paint. The mad genius had cut up an old paintbrush ahead of time and he then scattered some tufts of "fur" onto the tacky red paint. Once it dried, he then shot the whole frame with clearcoat to help hold everything in place, but a few of the "hairs" stuck out through the clearcoat, giving it a nice three-dimensional effect.
Tacky, bordering on tasteless, VERY realistic looking, and funny as heck to many of the readers.
well I did some minor changes to this one yet again mainly just bling and a light set and different bars.
first up I added this chain to the abck coaster bracket for nothing other then looks kinda gives it a blingy feel I think.
finally mounted the skull I been wanting to mount in true redneck fashion I mounted the taillight under it im happy with the look.
the new bars they feel really cool and mounted the headlight on the bars.
that is about it for now too many projects so this one is kind of taking a back burner. more updates soon.
