When I say theme....I'm thinking like....military rat....surf rat....etc.

The Anything goes forum could include theme bikes and kid's bikes....or even, theme kid's bikes...ha ha!

Oooh I'm a sucker for theme bikes but.... maybe to mix it up a little the kids bike would be better this time. Theme later.

Don't know if I'll be able to enter regardless. I think I'd be out on the street if the spouse caught me building another bike. Maybe if I can get rid of some first.

One advantage to a kids bike. It's easier to store (hide)

I'm thinking that we may wait a month or so before we start another contest. Hopefully it will be warmer up north by then.

I don't think we should start so soon after the first.

Make in an annual event...but start when we cold-climate folks can paint!

If it's only done annually, the trophy means more ("Winner of the Annual RRBBO!" sounds better than "this months winner")....just mu $.02 on that.

I like the theme idea.

i dont think there should be too many bbo co close together either, keeps ya foamin at the mouth kinda sorta !!!!

I think it would be cool if yout held a restricted bbo like the one that just happened, and a no-restrictions bbo later on and maybe a november to december kids bike bbo close to x-mas so we can give em away to appreciative kids or families that could use extra help at christmas time after theyre done !!!

i REALLY REALLY REALLY agree with the kids one being near christmas, so we can give them to children in need. my club does this anyway, only we dont trick them out all awesome.

the only bad thing about that is in the winter it is really hard to paint. i agree with the people who thinks we need to wait a month or two and make it possible fo he people up north to be able to pain and work out side. i know right kno i live in ky and it is cold.

Gots to agree about spacing out the build offs. Kids bike does sound more practical later in the year. Maybe do it in sept. or Oct. then just save it for Xmas.

O.K. so when you guys are talking mini bikes, do you mean traditional mini bikes? With engines? Or does this mean something different? Cause to me, 20"rs and below are kids bikes no matter who rides them. So what's a mini bike?

i got 2 mini bikes! 1 is half built, I need 2 change the head on the 1 im building.... Its almosts donE , yellow paint flames nice home made seet slick on the back

I think "mini bikes" should include folding bikes, especially for those who don't have kids (and for those who have a folding bike frame lying around in the basement 8) )

So I still need to know .... What's the difference between minies and kid's bikes? It sounds to me that they're the same, but some people don't like the term "kids bike". Is this what it really is boiling down too? I'm kinda slow but I don't see the difference between the two.

Wouldn't folding bikes fall under the "geezer bike" terminology?

I say 20" and under, stock frame and when the dust clears .... be there! 8)

I know the term Pixie just never heard Mini used to describe them bikes. Pixies as I know 'em are only 16" and under.
I'll try to learn the new lingo you young guns are using.
