Bought the Univega Cruiser off of the CL today so I could rob the wheel set with the
Nexus 7 speed hub with roller brake. Thinking this will be a good set for my next
Klunker project.

Thinking about building up this frame using the wheels above...

On the way back from picking up the cruiser I saw an "Estate Sale" sign and decided to stop
real quick. Ended up scoring this ladies Trek for $25. Chain is rusty, but everything else is in
great shape and it should clean up well.

I've always said the cheapest way to buy a Nexus 7 is to buy it while it's attached to an older, non popular bike. I've scored a couple, this way.

Good find!

I think that Univega Cruiser would be a great candidate for a ... change..???????

It probably would be...if it were stretched too. I rode it a little before I stripped it down and it seemed pretty small.

Unfortunately the welding gene didn't get passed onto me in the family...just to Uncle Stretch.

Steve..You can do anything if you put your mind to it..!!!! I think your right with the stretching of it..Go out and buy a welder ..haha

Bad part is with the same time and work it takes to do a ... change , you can build a really cool scratch built frame.
