Picked up this beat up Nirve Paul Frank cruiser last weekend. Was going to flip it but might end up cleaning it up and using it as my beater bike. I was thinking about media blasting the frame and clear coating the raw aluminum after. We will see what happens, have to focus on my Electra build and if I do anything to this bike it needs to be very cheap. The bike came with a nice front basket that I am going to repurpose on my wife's Electra.

I chopped the rear fender right after the first support to shorten it up. It was pretty mangled at the end.
Traced the curve from the tip of the front fender.
Chopped it off with an angle grinder, was happy with the result!

Media blasted and wire wheeled all the paint off the frame.
First coat of paint, found this can in my collection of paint. Rustoleum "ocean mist" green. Had a couple small runs, will let it cure overnight and give it a quick sand to fix the blemishes and apply a couple more light coats of paint before clearing it.
I have used ocean mist before and like it. Your bike should end up looking great.
Made some progress on the Nirve now that my Electra is mostly finished up.
The green paint didn't work out and the bike ended up going white. After the white dried I wasn't happy with it and stripped it all back down to bare aluminum and it's going to stay like this.
Wire wheeled and ran a bunch of parts through the parts washer at work. I am ready to paint a some stuff and then it will be assembly time.
The color theme on this bike is going to have some purple. I picked up a purple KMC chain and have some purple ODI grips that are going to go on it. The fenders and chain guard may get painted purple.

Finished the Nirve tonight, can't take it for a test ride though the weather is garbage here right now. I don't know what I should call this bike but it looks like something Prince would ride for the purple rain video or something the Joker would look good on lol! I might end up stealing the wheels and white wall tires off an Electra I have stashed away to flip in the spring, I haven't decided yet though.
