Re: Northampton, Mass Ride...JUNE 9th! BE THERE!
ya, that really was an epic ride. I had to peel myself away. I could'a stayed out all night.
pictures pictures...
The northern contingent showed up from NH (Brian, Dan and Dave):
then Matt showed up from Pittsfield and our first stop was The Old Watering Hole:
Which is also a beer can museum:
here's the excited bar keeper posing for a picture with us. She was not as impressed with Brian's chopper as the next bar tender would be:
so we decided to roll out to the bike trail. Brian on his springer chopper:
there's Dave on his cool Schwinn muscle bike with mags:
Matt muscling the Sixty Four (good thing I brought two bikes. His car broke down so he rode his motorcycle to this event and borrowed this bike):
Dan, Brian, Steve, Dave:
yes, the tallest (and happiest) man you'll probably ever find riding a 20" muscle bike:
Brian's better side: (wait, what?)
Steve Schwing-ing his way toward Easthampton, MA:
good shot of Dave and his hot rod Schwinn:
stopped at a skate park along the way:
Steve showing the youngsters how to Schwing around the pool and being filmed along the way by a boarder:
there's a couple of these cool bridges on the path:
epic photo - (l to r) Matt, Ian, Steve, Dan, Dave, Brian:
even more epic photo:
photo voted "Most in Need of a Caption" :
About three or four miles into the trail ride we started getting thirsty and hungry, so we asked a local 'bent rider "how much longer to Easthampton?"
He informed us there is a cool biker bar about 3 miles ahead. So we forged on:
darn straight...
all too common site here in New England:
in my head this photo was going to be more epic:
oddly the big lug looks more cramped on a 26" bike than he does on a 20" bike:
we made it to Easthampton!!! Whiskerz biker bar:
Brian the attention whore and his chopper. Ya whatever Brian, you're - so - great - blah, blah, blah... (I'm so building a chopper)
hey someone get Matt a Snickers, will you? He's not himself when he's hungry.
how about an Italian restaurant Matt?
no pictures of the 6 mile ride back to Noho because it was dark, but here we are at my fave bar in town - Tunnel Bar:
da crew:
this just in from Matt's iphone.... yours truly, the day's official photographer:
cheers guys! great day/night. looking forward to next one.
