Purchased online and it was shipped free to the store. Out the door for a grand total of $44.98! 12 month warranty so save that receipt just in case.

These silly bolts with plastic wing nuts will need to be replaced.

Ball lock pin allows height adjustment. Handy lil tool tray is an added bonus.

Clamp is kinda jenky, took a minute to get used to it but is sturdy enough for our heavy classics.

The clamp arm is spring loaded and gives you 360 degree rotation.

All in all I'm happy with it and feel my $45 was well spent.

Seems like everything is plastic now days. Oh well still a bargain at that price, just replace a few wing nuts and you'll be good to go.

I wouldn't recommend buying any cheap stand just for the clamping mechanism. The clamp is usually the weak part on cheap stands.

I bought this RAD Cycle Products stand off of amazon for $55 Shipped:

http://www.amazon.com/RAD-Cycle-Products-Bicycle-Adjustable/dp/B0065PHDZE/ref=pd_luc_sbs_03_01_t_lh

My review is the one that starts out "READ THIS BEFORE USING". It's a decent stand, but the shortcoming is the clamp.

I went looking on Amazon the other day for a second work stand, and ended up purchasing this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C0L ... d_i=507846

I got it today, and am happy to report that the clamp mechanism is VASTLY superior to the one on the last stand I posted a link to. The only shortcoming to this one is that the base doesn't fold up. That being said, I wish I had seen this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BU8 ... d_i=507846

...as it appears to have the best of everything. I doubt I'll need a 3rd stand, but if I ever do, that would probably be the one I get. If you are looking for an inexpensive stand, I would look for one like the last one. I got the most recent one for a little less on eBay vs. Amazon, from the same company, about $54 shipped to me.

I'm wanting to do the exact same thing...hate having to put the Park stand away every time I'm done to free up space.

I've even considered altering the stand to attach it to my work bench.

This is another cheaper alternative, but it doesn't look like the arm reaches out very far.

I wonder if you could have a certain Uncle weld up a bench mount that you could slide your Park head into.

Clamp mechanism is VERY VERY weak on this stand I'm afraid. The only way I could keep it tight and locked over was to just screw it in tight and not try to rock it over. They are inexpensive but mine is now disassembled and in a corner, Replaced by a Park Tool model.

I just bought a Feedback Sports model stand for $150. It's great.

Of course right after I buy it, a couple of Park stands pop up on CL. But my LBS swears by Feedback. That's what they use. Of course, they are using a higher level of stand than I could afford.
