I was hoping for one of the old school mountain bikes, but that's even better.
I consider it a rat, a very cool one.
You should do a build-page about the fork.

The spring was the result of my worry about the forks coming apart, as well as the flexing which can throw the tire off balance causing it to veer left or right. I saw the 'shock' on a Roadmaster at the dump and a bell went off in my head. Drilling the forks adding the quick release skewers and putting them through the spring kind of solves the problem. That wasn't enough for me though, I wanted it to look good too. I saw an old computer chair (dump) and cut the legs off to make the brace on the outside of the fork for even more rigidity. I now feel confident that they are road worthy and I can ride with piece of mind. Form and function.
