hi there,

I recently changed the tire on my AW sturmy archer and seemed to have lost the left lock nut that screws into the axle. i replaced it but the nuts i got did not have the proper thread and were stripped, i have tried a few other nuts but none seem to properly screw on the hub/axle. there is not date on the hub and it is the kind that is flat on the top and bottem.

I have searched this form and sheldon browns site, they show the nut and part number but the size/thread of the nut is never mentioned. Is there a standard size or is this a nut that is specific with sturmy.

any help / info would be....helpful

Useless

It is British thread. Hard to find even if you can. Bike shop will most likely have what you need for about $3. I know it's alot for one nut but what are you gonna do? I had to pay $8 for a handlebar bolt British thread because I had to also pay shipping of $5.50. Doh!
