Posted this in Fresh Finds but I thought I'd put it here as well.

Picture of the drop outs.

It has a serial number of 8H149779
And this Schwinn frame, serial number J020857

The Schwinn is a 60.The first letter is the month and the first number is the year.

Thanks for the info! I'm slowly learning my way around these things.
The Huffman just needed air in the tires and then it went on a 8 mile ride last night! It rides GREAT! I'm not sure if I'll try to make it look good with a re-paint or just enjoy it in the ratty condition it's in.
The Schwinn frame, fender and chainguard look good the way they are. I think I'll have to look for a black fork and front fender to match and a set of wheels and bars and put it back together.

Gasoline will take that silver paint off the tires. Doesn't really look too bad that way though. Gary
