OMG! the mother load, Jersey style...

I went about 30 miles away to check out an ad on Craig's list..."vintage bikes, bring a truck". I thought maybe I'd find something I could use.What I found was another man's obsession with bikes. I think his family was cleaning out the house after he died. They told me he used to repair bikes, but even when he stopped people kept giving bikes to him.
This was the front yard, not counting the dozen or so bikes sitting around

At this point I mentioned something about looking for bikes, and the person running the sale said "Check the basement..."

I walked downstairs and...Holy Crap! :shock:

Every inch was covered with bikes or boxes of parts! Not being greedy I brought up 4 bikes, 3 wheels and a box of parts, including a spoke threader..my cost-$30
I'm posting the bikes in the latest finds section. Todays lesson? Always check Craig's list!

You need to go back and buy every bike that looks like an 80s BMX bike.

I can see a couple in those photos...that's where your money will be.

Someone had already laid claim to most of the bmx bikes by the time I had gotten there. Besides, with my current stable now at 16 bikes, I've run out of room. I'm probably going to have to thin the herd a bit once I get them cleaned up and road worthy.
