Hey Everbody,
In Mpls, one of the top bike shops is One on One.
They are usually number one when ranked by the cyclist communities.

I wrote about them before when they had the Handsome Cycle debut (That's the owner Gene working on a bike)

They have a lot of great rides, wild parties, host Art Crank and a great coffee shop too!
My wife won a nice pannier bag that Gene gave away at the Bike Film Festival
They stock bikes like Surleys, Swobo, Bianchi, and Globe (Trek debuted the Globe brand there)
They have cool displays
The great thing about them is that you can bring in a nutty idea and they don’t shoot you down (like many other shops)
So I’ve been there more than a few times to ask advice and buy stuff
So Saturday I went to ask about the 24” Eliminator Crank that I’ve been trying to get sorted
The mech and me went through just about every scenario but not too much luck
But I saw someone ask him to down to the “junkyard” and look for some stuff
I’ve heard about it but never had been down there, so I asked too. Here is some of the stuff they have
The Junkyard (new and used bikes and parts)
Saw a “not for sale” tag on a Little 500 bike
Older Schwinn
Typhoon with Hookworms on front and rear and BMX bars
Western Flyer Golden Flyer
Some crazy frame (forgot to write down the name)
Coppertone Schwinn
Schwinn with crazy print tires
Huffy twin top tube
Best thing was, I found a one piece crank with 5.5” lengths and all good threads
I asked him how much and he started looking it over and I thought uh-oh, he’s thinking $$$$
He says $6? I say cool then realize he was checking the threads for good condition
He says to bring the Eliminator back in when I get it finished because he thinks it will be cool
Awesome shop!!! I’ll be back.
Thanks for Looking
Steve
