found this in LBS dumpster last Monday looks like ma or pa pinned it to the garage wall from the latex paint rubs on the fork. Total damage a wheel and handelbars . In case you didn't notice its a GT AutoStream auto shifter derailer

looks like you need a wheel with a 7 speed cassette if the wheels were 26" then yes most 26'wheels with rim brake and 7 speed cassette would work but some of those bike had 700 size wheels hybrid wheels , check the front wheel for rim and tire size :?: good luck
