I found this locally, and wanted some thoughts before I went to see/buy it. It will be my first project, and will be the next bike for my daughter. I can't read the name on the frame. What should I be looking for? What should I be warned against?

hmmmm... Huffy. Back when I was really into bikes, Huffy was a four letter word. Maybe for this application it won't be too bad? Will it be a tank? Will the parts be crap?

Ok, I'm answering myself more than you all are!

Turns out that Micargi is just a K-mart/Wal Mart brand. I'll have to think about this to see if it's worth it. The frame is Hi-Ten steel, so I'll bet it's a tank. Especially for a girl bike. I don't want it to be such a tank that it's a chore for her to ride.

Micargi, or MiCrappy as I like to call them, bikes are worse than K-mart bikes. The spokes break, hardware falls off, and the company steals their designs from high-end companies like Electra, Nirve, and Felt. They are the very bottom of the heap in my opinion.

Last reply to myself. I'm letting this one go. I just don't think it's a good enough deal for the priceline, and considering what I want to do with it/have to spend on it.

The search for a 20" girls cruiser continues.

*whew* Glad I passed on it. Thanks!

Sometimes you can find 20" Electra girls cruises on craigslist for a decent price (less than $70). Even a Huffy would be much better!
