I would have grabbed them too if that was the delivered price to me over here! The price was right and there was quite a few choices in tread and size.
I'm anxious to see the 2.4 squeezed onto the og rim.

Definitely, it was perfect. I'm probably gonna update a couple of my other bikes too.Great success with the adapter!

I was thinking the same after I did my first conversion today as well. I have one or two that I may want this style on.Definitely, it was perfect. I'm probably gonna update a couple of my other bikes too.

Sweet fit that rolls well paired to the Schwinn two speed.Carl.
Yes, I keep calling it a Schwinn, but I should correct myself and say, Bendix red two band kickback... the chain is fairly tight, and although I haven't read anything to echo what you told me about running it a bit loose, I will be loosening it a bit to ease the wear and tear. That said, it shifts well, with a little of the drag that's known to effect these hubs...You have the kickback mounted? If so, it looks like your chain is too tight. How does it work? Gary
I stole an idea from @Bicycle808
and decided to list the awesome hardware I'll be entering in the 2016 ORBO.
Frame: Royal cantilever (looks to be Schwinn built) flat black
Fork: Sunlight econo chrome
Stem: Wald 4C with a Wald 4080 headset
Bars: Wald 898 gullwings with 2 1/2" cutoff ea. end
Front Brake: yeah right... it's a suicide bomber brother!
Post: Wald 945 (probably have to beef this up...)
Saddle: import, black pleather with chrome studs
Clamp: 63' Schwinn Varsity, chrome w/ AS bolt
Rims: import, no name aluminum alloy, black
Crankset: Sunlight alloy double guard spinning in a Black Ops conversion kit
Rear Hub: Bendix Red two band kickback coaster
Chain: KMC z-410 BMX, red
Tires: CST Cyclops 26 x 2.4
Pedals: Wellgo BMX XC-II, black
Padset: wear some thick socks bro, this is old school...
Yeah that's it, what's on my bike, nothing super pro about it, just basic parts...
Oh, there's some fun detailing and I'm actually waiting on some of the stuff listed. But it's a roller right now. I can't believe how light it is, considering the steel frame, but she's light and nimble. I gotta find me a scale somewhere, cuz I'm pretty curious as to just what it weighs.
Carl.
Exactly. It was so fun just goin' for it, and then I went to turn and I knew it's be slick on the sidewalk underneath. So I cut across the lawn... hehe. Tracked on the grass pretty well.Sounds like fun. Snow can be sketchy. Usually ok till you need to turn.
Building... riding...
I've been thinking about making a studded tire with sheet metal screws.Sometimes a ski helps, still gotta watch the turns tho.
