First nice day we’ve had in weeks but La Nina weather pattern will return bringing more heavy rain. First decent ride on Outcast to the bay and through the city. The freewheeling Nexus 8 hub makes easy work of the hills around town.

Some great photos! Outcast looks right at home in your city. Glad you had the sunshine after what sounds like some very soggy days for the start of your Spring so far!

Thanks man. We had 60mph winds last night, warm and cold weather today, rain and hail tomorrow. Spring hasn't sprung yet!

I didn’t like the feel of the short brake levers I fitted to this bike and swapped them
for these Lee Chi levers I pulled from one of the 80’s mountain bikes shown below which I picked up on Monday.

The Lee Chi levers are similar to the many pairs of Dia-Compe levers I have on other bikes I own. They work great and are more comfortable than the short levers.

I also fitted a bottle cage using a Minoura strap kit I bought at the LBS.

Looking good! Those 80s mountain bikes you picked up have some really cool looking project parts on them. Might be great for a klunker.
