Paint Question

I am sure this has been asked before but I haven't found a thread on it as yet.

How long do you wait to paint after laying down the primer?

what kind of primer and paint? are you going to sand it(the primer)before you put color on?
generally as a rule of thumb itd be 30-60 minutes(if youre not going to sand) before color

Yup what sensor said. I painted today (Krylon),waited about an hour between primer and color. I went with satin black, came out nice. More coats-o-paint tommorrow...

I also wait an hour - it's what the instructions say.

an hr is normally good here is a tip a painter showed me. before laying down your final layer of primer. take a peice of cardboard and spray a small splotch of paint onto it then lay down the paint. after an hr or so check the primer on the cardboard to make sure it is dry or atleast mostly then your good to go. in warm weather you can spray much sooner than when it is cold out as it takes longer for the paint to dry.
