Hey guys/gals. These rims belong to a friend of mine. He wants to put them on a motorized bicycle because of the heavy guage spokes and front drum brake. They came off his 1930's tandem. I was wondering if they are of any rarity or value? He would consider selling them as he's not a collector of sorts. Does anyone have any info or history on these? Thanks.

Since the hubs say "West Germany" that would put it between WWII and the 80s. Nothing spectacular. The hub shell looks like a Komet Super, made by Sachs. They look like they would clean up nice and front drums are cool. I say put them on the motorized bike. I would consider buy a set of wheels like that if I had the funds available and needed a wheel set.
