I’ve always liked stuff a little on the weird side, different from the norm. I’ve been looking at these Virtue bikes for a few years. @ Kingfish had one a while back.
I sold some bikes recently which freed up some space and decided to pop on the “Ortho”. Found a fair price for one new in the box.

Have fun brother! They are very unique rides.

I pulled it out of the box, unwrapped it and assembled the Ortho. A pretty cleanly built frame. I have some modification ideas already.

Comfortable ride, steering is quick with rake angle and 21” head-tube.

Added a bell, rear blinky Light, bag and fine tuned the brakes and fit. The pedals are next. I went for a 15.45 mile shake down cardio ride. On varying surfaces the chromoly frame seemed handle and ride well, the geometry actually somewhat mirrors an Electra Townie if you discount the tube configuration. It’s not too hill friendly though with the upright seating position. It is a rider though, not just another pretty frame.

I bet that would be interesting to ride. I like the seat and grips. Would look good with cream or brown tires. Is it a 3 spd Nexus?
It’s a good cruising bike, non aggressive type riding. Yes a smooth shifting Nexus 3 free wheel, no coaster brake.

Still playing around with this Ortho find. I had set of take-off Planet Bike Fenders that I’d had on another bike, started adding them to the Ortho. I had to get a bridge bracket for the rear. The rear fender is installed, no photo yet.

The Virtue Company doesn’t use headbadges...so mustache bike it is.

Still playing around with this bike. I’ve tried several different seats/saddles with two different layback seatposts. I think this Gyes triple spring leather seat might be a keeper. I need to do a longer ride to be sure.
