way to busy lately but I dug this old french roady out of the pile
I keep looking at it but I draw a blank so we'll see what comes of it

looks like not much interest in diamond frames..not your average cruiser

of some 700c knobbies ??? still thinkin

Mastershake I live about 35 miles NW of Redding along the Trinity River
and this bike was a road bike kinda the begings of the comfort bike with
tall 700c rims... might be a dirt klunker when its done..we'll see

I was just up around Redding last weekend, did my first mountain biking.
I like the mild-mountain bikes with the 700c's.

yep I like the light weights too Mastershake , my panasonic is a great
bike with the 27 " knobies.

Started puting a few parts on it and polishing a few stains off, Im thinkin I
dont want to paint it for now we'll see...had a springer and some high rise bars laying around and all the shims so no need to cut the steering tube
and a 700c rim fits but I wonder about useing the scewers ?

hey all I tried a few different bars but it did look ok with apes, instead I
went with these murray bars flipped and down ??? too cheap to buy the
longer brake and shifter cables?... no.. too poor right now just put one
of the girls through a diabetic summer camp and spent some bucks on
a couple weekend excursions and a new center pin reel so....
here is how it sits at the moment

I also upped the tire size to these 700-40c comfort tires for the 29er look

I also put on a huge schwinn excercycle seat but the thing is ugly on this bike so its gotta go...thats it for now and it does ride nice but a little
bit uncomfortable , for me the bars need to be 6" farther forward...
I must have long arms :roll:

very nice. Whats under the padding and covering of that seat? If its a metal pan, and you dont mind stripping everything off, those are kinda comfy bare.

Well looks like those were the last pics of the bike that I'll post.
Thanks for the nice comments but this bike is now back to stock style
except for the larger tires and a comfy saddle a good friend of mine
made an offer I could not refuse ...he builds custom fly rods so the bike is now his and I'll use the parts on another project.

I wondered what the springer would look like on one of these type frames, but didn't tink it would work. I guess I have seen the light.

This combination is sharp, and the "drop bars" look alot more cool in my opinion. (and it IS just an opinion!)
