Back in 2012 I started building Janis as a long fork bike. Well I wasn't too satisfied about that. So I threw on a smaller fork, and that was pretty okay as well but I still wasn't satisfied. My biggest problem was up until now I didn't have a bank account or a credit card to be legit parts to make a legit build. So now after years of being anti bank establishment I swallowed my pride and got the darn account and am currently and FINALLY building Janis the way I have seen her in my head. She is in current mock up stage and I am waiting on parts to come through the mail but this is what she looks like so far. I will end up removing a bunch of the bogus decals and band stickers I threw on there based on apathy and neglect and repaint her AND pinstripe her myself.

UPDATE 5: Received the seat and all my painting stuff in the mail Friday so lemme tell you Saturday was one of those days. First I had to strip the bike down from mock up:

And After I had removed the bearing cups I had to go run some birthday errands with my lovely girlfriend Emily:

After shopping we got home and relaxed a bit and watched "The Wedding Singer" before I decided to get up and start working on smoothing out the frame for painting:

This was a good hour and a half of Goo Gone-ing and sanding to remove all those bloody decals that once inhabited my bike. But after being covered in metal dust and grease I threw her on the hook and started painting a base coat (just so the bare metal wouldn't rust overnight) :

As you can see, not completely painted but it turned out beautiful once dried (More pics to come soon)
