This is a '90's Huffy that I bought almost a decade ago with the Omni mtn fork already on it. Later on, I added the apes & a removable basket & beat on it for a few years. The guy who built it was a real backwoods tinkerer kind of charactor, but in the core of Detroit. He was a rat rodder & didn't even know it--his house, front porch, yard, etc. was crammed with old cruisers of all brands, a few of them were strange hybrids where seemingly every single part was from a different brand. I wish I had a pic or three--I know you guys would appreciate them. Hardly any were for sale, either. He's still around, but he's long since moved away. I digress...
The stance was odd anyways, so eventually I stuck a 24" x 2" on the front. I was fed up with constantly adjusting the cheapo Index deraileur & was enjoying my far superior single speed bikes, so off it went to Back Alley Bikes, a Detroit non-profit co-op, before it turned into some crazy project. Sometimes it's better to donate them than bother w/the CL.
