Popped up on the CL today at lunchtime and managed to be first in line. Guy was nice enough to hold it and kill the ad.

Said it was his Uncle's bike, but who knows. I thought the numbers on the front fender were interesting. You can also barely make out what looks like U.S. ARMY on top of the tank.

That is a neat bike! I like the plane call sign on the fender, that makes it even cooler. Congrats!
 
Love this one! I'd be wary of going too OCD Steve on this one. On the Westfield that you and Unc had of mine, I tried to clean it up and the white striping started to melt away. That was with simple soap and water. Plus I'm just really digging the patina.

Yeah, not going to do to much to it. Probably just wash it off, repack all of the bearings and put some new tires on it to see how it rides. :)
