I found 3 bikes this morning, 2 little girls 20" bikes a Kent and a Magna (PARTS) Both are ride-able but they never sell so I part them out, And found a 24" full suspension bike frame that has been re-sprayed a Dr. Pepper dark red. Then I went out to Wal-Mart on my bike, got the paint for my build off bike and my army bike and stopped at a buddy's place and got two more frames. A Magna chrome mountain bike that I will do a bmx style conversion to and a Schwinn 20" re-sprayed that I am going to build with parts from one of the girls bikes.

Thanks, the army bike is actually a junk roadmaster with a re-spray....lol. I finally got my ammo box mounted on the back. As far as the Schwinn goes that's actually not a stack those are hanging from the roof.....weird angle of the cam. It's a Schwinn 24", 10 speed, skinny tire bike. The bars are not original to it, I sold the originals and put those on it, I was going to make a clunker out of it. It is in great shape, paint looks good, chrome's not bad. I have everything for it from rims, de-railers, and a few odds and ends. It is for sale. I have some other good ones just not in this lot. So far I have 28 bikes and a trike in the shed....... and still have a little space to work.

Clunk that Schwinn out LOL...or ebay it maybe 100 bucks..? Look it up

I guess the chain on the bug zapper defies gravity..LOL.. I see the roof line of the shed now..But still cant figure on how they are hanging LOL

All of those have the backward dropout like a mountain bike, I hook that over the lip of the tin I beam and they hang there. Here's a better pic from a more upright angle.

Well I guess that clears that up..I can sleep now.. That works out well  All ways looking for ways to store bikes..and how other do it..or dont do it..lol

To hang my bikes, I placed a 8' 2x4 along the rafters and put a bike hook every 14 inches. If I did that again, I would space them 18 inches or more, because the handlebars get tangled up and the pedals nick the paint on the next bike, but I do have 10 bikes in a small space.

Yeah I take the forks and handlebars off and put them in a crate and hang the frames.

When I hang up my bikes in the shed for the winter I have limited space, therefore I remove all pedals, loop a string through the pedals and tie them to the right bike. I gain way more space by de pedalling my bikes :D

Maybe if you hung one from the front, and the next from the back?

I tried that, the handlebars then got tangled in the spokes, a bigger problem. The idea was to have a bunch of bikes all ready to ride at a moment's notice, so if the kids came over, we could all ride. When it cools a little, I'm going to take out every other hook or use them for bare frames, and hang some bikes on the wall on the other side of the garage. The whole garage needs cleaned out first and a lot of my wife's extra stuff removed somehow.

I noticed I was counting more bikes every time I went in the garage, then I realized I had hung them all boy-girl. I had to separate them, they were multiplying!
