i found ways to substitute the spokelights but given the success of my how to threads i figure its not worth the effort in following through and posting

Cyglo! Uber-cool but not available yet as far as I know. Also much to my disappointment they do not allow you to make instantaneous 90° turns or create jet-walls. I've just ordered a pair of Monkeylectric lights from a store in France and I'm very looking forward to trying them out, the only downside I can see (apart from the weight/balance issue but that's not a problem on a cruiser) is that you probably have to cycle quite fast to get the full visual effect, I read that the optimum speed is between 8 - 20 mph.
